Registration is open for the VIII International Starlight Meeting. Soria prepares to become the epicenter of astrotourism in October 2025.

The Starlight Foundation has officially opened registration for the 8th International Starlight Meeting and 6th Meeting of Starlight Guides and Monitors. The event will take place from October 22 to 24, 2025, at the Espacio Santa Clara in Soria. The event will begin on the evening of October 21 with a welcome cocktail reception in the Tirso de Molina plaza, marking the start of three days of training, networking, and discussion about the future of starlight tourism.

Soria: A Province That Looks to the Sky

The choice of Soria as the venue is not accidental. In 2023, it became the first Spanish province to be recognized as a Starlight Reserve, showcasing its dedication to preserving the night sky. The candidacy was presented jointly by the City Councils of Soria (Soria Starlight Reserve) and Borobia (Starlight Village) and was supported by the Provincial Council of Soria and the Regional Government of Castile and León.

The event will feature lectures, roundtable discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and tourism experiences. Topics will include Starlight certification, creating tourism products associated with the sky, education, scientific dissemination, and sustainability.

Additionally, there will be an exhibition space where certified destinations can present their astro-tourism initiatives to the public.

Starlight Meeting America 2026: A New Era in Colombia

The Starlight Foundation also announces that the first Regional Starlight Meeting in America will be held in March 2026 in Villa de Leyva, Colombia, a recognized Starlight Village. This event represents a milestone in the internationalization of the Starlight movement and reinforces the projection of astro-tourism as a driver of sustainable development in Latin America.
