During the time of confinement generated by Covid-19, since march 2020, the Starlight Foundation held a daily cycle of astronomical conferences -weekly during the de-escalation-, addressing various topics related to astrophotography, astrotourism activities, astrophysics, lighting and light pollution, archaeoastronomy ... And a wide variety of topics related to cross-cutting themes of the Starlight Declaration in Defense of the Night Sky and the Right to Starlight.
This initiative, which was born under an action promoted initially by and for the astronomical monitors of the Starlight Tourist Destination Comarca de Cuencas Mineras to share their experiences, was extended and co-organized by the Starlight Foundation for the entire Starlight family.
The participation has oscillated every day between 60 and 100 listeners from all over the national and even international area. In addition, the Starlight Festival has so far had talks by more than 100 experts in subjects related to astronomy.
From 2023, they will continue on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. CEST.
