3rd edition of the "Sunset" Photo Contest.

The Great Spanish Eclipse 2026, will take place on August 12, 2026, just before sunset. This phenomenon is a privileged opportunity to see a total solar eclipse in the Iberian Peninsula after more than a century. Finding suitable locations with clear horizons is essential to enjoy totality.

For the third consecutive year, the Eclipse262728 initiative, with which the Starlight Foundation collaborates, is organizing the "Sunset" Photo Contest on August 10, 11 and 12, 2024.

This photo contest aims to promote the celebration of the Spanish Great Ellipse Festival among the population, spread its cultural and economic benefits, and encourage the observation of solar eclipses. In addition, capturing the sunset 3 years before the phenomenon will help identify the best places to observe the Spanish Great Eclipse of 2026.

How to participate:

1. follow Eclipse262728 on Instagram.

2. Post your photo on your Instagram and mention @eclipse26272728.

3. Send your photo (size greater than 2000 pixels and less than 3000 pixels) to info@eclipse262728.com with the author's name, location and GPS position and information about the photo. Don't forget to include your personal information and a contact phone number.

4. Include the day the photo was taken.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Each person can send only one photo

2. Photographs must be taken on August 10, 11 and 12, 2024 showing the the sunset or the moment just before the sunset.

3. Photos must be submitted before 23:59 on 8/14/2024.

4. Editing of the images is accepted as long as the originality of the photograph is not lost.

5. Participation is open to all interested parties.

Prizes:

1.One night stay at the Real Monasterio de San Zoilo in the heart of the entire strip in Carrión de los Condes, Palencia.

2.One night stay at the 4* Hotel El Cielo de Muriel in Muriel Viejo, Soria.

3.Experience the exclusive GT80 premium night observation in Galactica (Arcos de las Salinas, Teruel), accompanied by a guided tour, at the epicenter of astronomy dissemination and practice. It includes one-night accommodation.

4.10 prizes of a license for the Photopils application, with which you can search for the best places to take your astronomical and artistic photographs.

The prize will be announced through our social networks, as well as by email to the winners, indicating their location and the prize they will receive.

The delivery of the prizes will take place 15 days after the end of the delivery of the photographs.
