Call to host Starlight Meeting 2024 now open

The next Starlight Annual Meeting will coincide with the II International Starlight Astrotourism Conference, both supported by UNWTO.

2023 / 12 / 23

The Starlight Foundation is now accepting applications to host the next Starlight Annual Meeting, which this year will coincide with the II International Starlight Astrotourism Conference.

Previous venues for this event have been Gredos (Castilla y León), Menorca (Baleares), Monasterio de El Olivar (Aragón),Évora (Portugal) -where I International Starlight Astrotourism Meeting was held-,Fuencaliente de La Palma (Canarias) and most recently Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha)

Every 3 years an International Starlight Astrotourism Conference is organized to coincide with our Annual Meeting, the last one was in Evora in 2021, so the next one will be in 2024. Since the Evora Congress, we have counted on the participation and support of the UNWTO in our annual meetings, which we will request and defend again this year.

This is the most relevant and important meeting of professionals, companies, public and private entities, media, etc. related to the cross-cutting themes of the Starlight Foundation: astrotourism and local sustainable development, natural and cultural heritage related to starlight, protection of the sky and dissemination of astronomy (education and awareness). This meeting also brings together the only existing network of astrotourism professionals, such as our Starlight monitors and guides.

This meeting brought together more than 200 participants last October and is an event that produces a great positive economic and social impact on the territory.

Thank you in advance for your interest and participation, and please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
